When you download their program select \”FileZilla Client\” this will enable you to transfer files. Your other option is to download the server version to make your files available to others. Start by going to the site manager; Select new site; enter your URL. Under \”Host\” type in \”ftp.yoursite.com\”; set the server type to FTP; set Logon to Normal; and enter your username and password for that site.

FileZilla has a simple but effective, main screen, which is well-organized. The files from your computer are displayed on the left and the hosting files displayed in the right hand column. Select the files in the left-hand column on your computer that you want transferred. Then go to the right-hand column and select the location where you\’d like them to go. In most cases you will upload them into the public_html folder. Then just select the files which need to be transferred, right-click and select \”Upload\” and watch it zoom into action.

KompoZer is an html editor of the What-you-see-is-what-you-get-variety (WYSIWYG). This makes it pretty easy to use, enabling you to create or modify HTML documents without knowing much of the HTML code. To start go to File and select \”New\” to get a new blank document or choose \”Open\” to edit an existing HTML document.

You will probably recognize the display as having a great deal of similarity to the MS Word screen, with toolbars on the top, which will permit you to alter the text position, font, underline, bold, etc. The bottom of the screen has four tabs, all of which allow you to see the document in a different way. The normal view is useful for most tasks permitting you to see your changes as you make them. If you need to insert some HTML code, like a PayPal button, you\’ll need to go to the tab marked \”Source\”. Use the preview tab, in order to see what your page will look like in a web browser.
